We’ve been nominated for an award!

We have been jointly nominated with Lungfish Architects in the ‘Integration and Collaborative Working Award’ category as part of the West Midlands Celebrating Construction awards.

We worked together on the exciting Aylesford School scheme where a £2.7m expansion saw the first ever combined primary and secondary school delivered in Warwickshire.

Sheridan McKnight, partnership director at Ashe Construction, said: “Our working ethos was to complete the project to the highest standard for the client while ensuring everything ran as smoothly as possible so we didn’t disrupt the day to day running of the school

“The scheme has been one of our flagships projects delivered here in the Midlands and we are delighted that it has been nominated for the award.”

Simon Reid, head of design at Lungfish, said: “The focus of the scheme was to combine the needs of primary and secondary school students and to create the very best possible learning environment for both current students and for future generations. It’s something we are hugely passionate about.

“The team at Lungfish take pride in working closely with our clients to provide flexible solutions that meet the needs of the community. Delivering additional school places and quality learning spaces is in our DNA, so we are delighted to have played our part in supporting the growing local population in Warwickshire.”

Hundreds of school children in Warwickshire have now been able to benefit from the school’s expansion. The work helped meet the needs of the community by providing 210 much-needed school places in Warwickshire for four to 19 year olds as well as creating a state-of-the-art learning environment for the children and staff.

Currently in its ninth year, more than 600 industry leaders are expected to attend the Celebrating Construction Awards on Friday 13 May at the ICC in Birmingham.
