Sustainable £10m residential scheme

Work has now started on a new sustainable housing development in Milton Keynes.

This exciting residential scheme will comprise a total of 56 high quality energy-efficient Swedish-style houses and apartments, on the outskirts of the popular Brooklands development.

Swedish housebuilder, Trivselhus will be delivering the units in partnership with Places for People, a property management, development, regeneration and leisure company.

Trivselhus’ off-site ‘fabric first’ manufacturing approach delivers homes that significantly exceed British building requirements and give an exceptional energy efficiency, having been developed to accommodate the extreme weather variations of Scandinavia.

The ‘breathable’ Climate ShieldTM used for all Trivselhus homes is manufactured in Sweden through an off-site process that embeds energy saving features from the outset, minimises wastage and improves accuracy in construction.

Ken Foster, Managing Director of Trivselhus, said: “For over 20 years, Swedish customers have benefited from the advantages that the Trivselhus Climate ShieldTM has brought to the design of their homes. Trivselhus is delighted to be able to offer our beautifully crafted product to UK customers who want to enjoy a taste of the Scandinavian lifestyle and to generate significant environmental savings”

Colin Rae, Development Director at Places for People, said: “Sommar Place will be another ground breaking development for Places for People, delivering the very best in Swedish energy efficient design to customers in Milton Keynes.”

Andrew Morris, Business Development Director of Ashe, said: “‘Ashe are delighted to be working alongside Trivselhus and Places for People on this ground breaking development, and look forward to delivering this innovative and sustainable development for the residents of Milton Keynes.”
