Ashe Supply Chain Seminar and Annual Awards

January saw Ashe’s annual Supply Chain Seminar event held at Needham House Hotel in Little Wymondley. The event was attended by over 70 of our supply chain partners.

Hosting the event was our Construction Director, Martin Petts, alongside our Procurement Manager, Darren Owen. The agenda for the morning was an initial meet and great with members of the Ashe production teams and pre-construction teams in attendance, building relationships with our long standing supply chain partners and putting names to faces for newer sub-contractors and suppliers. Following a networking session over breakfast the attendees were then seated for the presentation session. Representatives across almost every department within Ashe spoke about the importance of our supply chain, in their support throughout the construction process, from pre-construction quotation, tender support, and value engineering, to how Ashe can provide training and support services to suppliers and their on-site delivery teams. The presentation included a section from our Estimating Manager discussing the upcoming workload and the schemes being priced, a number of which have now been successfully awarded to Ashe.

The highlight of the event was the annual supply chain awards, with 3 different award categories for a total of 5 awards. Our winners were

  • Supply Chain Partner of the Year Award – Winner – Wadys Electrical
  • Supply Chain Partner of the Year Award – 1st Runner Up – Spadeoak
  • Supply Chain Partner of the Year Award – 2nd Runner Up – SD Samuels
  • Supply Chain Health & Safety Award – Winner – Euro Scaffolding
  • Supply Chain Quality Award – Winner – Smyths Decorating

The morning’s event was a huge success and continued to establish the excellent working relationship between Ashe and our cherished suppliers. In closing our Construction Director, Martin, detailed the importance of our continued focus on health and safety, and our emphasis on delivery quality throughout 2019. Martin thanked our supply chain for their attendance and continued support in delivering the excellent project we construct.

We look forward to progressing through 2019 with our supply chain and another positive supply chain seminar in 2020!
