Project award to expand Biggleswade middle school
Ashe Construction is delighted to announce its recent appointment by Central Bedfordshire Council for a new £5 million expansion project at Edward Peake School C of E (VC) Middle School in Biggleswade, Bedfordshire.
Following a public consultation, the council worked with the school on plans to develop its current site, which will see an additional 60 places for pupils in each year group. This expansion will also enable the addition of more specialist teachers to cover various areas of the curriculum.
This latest award by Central Bedfordshire Council shows its commitment to meeting the growing demand for middle school places in Biggleswade, a thriving market town with a growing population. It continues the council’s ‘Schools for the Future’ programme, which aims to provide local schools for local children in a financially and educationally viable way.
Ashe Construction is delighted to receive this contract. It is looking forward to contributing to the development of Biggleswade and the wider community in Central Bedfordshire.
