I joined Ashe in 2015 as an [estimator] and with the support of my manager and colleagues I was able to take on the fantastic opportunity of managing the estimating team.
In 2018, I progressed to the role I have now, Head of Pre-Construction, which means I’m involved in all aspects of pre-construction for the business.
It’s very rewarding to be part of the team that has secured some important tenders for Ashe, that have enabled the business to grow.
Wins that stand out are securing the £15m new Land Rover showroom in Staples Corner, the biggest in the county at the time. Another is the £23m development at Park Place Plaza in Stevenage, which is one of our largest projects to date.
We like winning at Ashe – even the occasional work footy match is pretty competitive! Games tend to end up with me getting blamed for a poor pass or missed shot but who can argue with 11 goals in five games?!
