I work with a fantastic team who share similar aspirations and values personally and professionally and who work together to produce great winning bids.

Working in pre-construction is a challenging and exciting area to work in. The nature of the bids and projects we work is changing all the time, which requires continuous evolution and updates of your knowledge.

I joined as a graphic designer to work on the presentation of Ashe materials, which included tender submissions, social media, brochures and the company website. We were bidding for such a high volume of work that I became more involved in the tender submission process, contributing to content as well as design.

To reflect this wider scope my job title changed to Bid Coordinator and I decided to study for my Chartered Construction Manager accreditation (MCIOB) in my spare time. Following this achievement I was promoted to the position of Bid Manager and since then have helped Ashe win places on more frameworks and bigger schemes than ever before.

Ashe has supported me hugely in the eight years I’ve worked here, from the moment I joined a lot of trust was put in me. They have helped me structure my career through pathways to progression, 1-2-1’s and annual appraisals. Ashe supported me financially when I was studying towards my MCIOB.

The project wins I worked on that stand out include Milton Keynes East Primary School & Health Hub, Jaguar Land Rover Staples Corner, Avanti Brook Primary School, and also Pagabo, Scape, NHS SBS and Crown Commercial Services frameworks.

"It’s very satisfying being able to return the investment and trust Ashe placed in me."
