Ashe Aspire Academy

Our long-standing strategy is to employ the right people and train them with the right skills for now and for the future, leading to long term development of our business.

Adopting a people focus in our business provides benefits to us and our clients. We value each other and ensure our people receive the career development and appreciation they deserve, because they are central to our success. We retain talented people and encourage them to pursue their career ambitions through successful project delivery. Our staff churn rate is only 9.9%, this compares to UK average of 15%.

To deliver this strategy, we have launched our Aspire Academy, a vehicle to support our trainees and apprentices within the business. Our employed apprentices currently account for 10% of our workforce for the group, and between these, there is an even split between trade and office-based apprentices, supporting key skills within our industry such as; Apprentice Roofers and Apprentice Carpenters. The Ashe Aspire Academy, not only supports our own trainees and apprentices, but we host industry training events at our offices to welcome sub-contractors and suppliers to upskill their own staff at one of our training CPD events.

Ian Robbins, our Managing Director joined us as a Site Supervisor and has progressed through Ashe to the top of our senior team.

Every job role has a pathway identified to progress on a potential career path, and details of how this can be achieved. Regular CPD training courses undertaken by Ashe staff include; SMSTS, First Aid, Mental Health First Aid, UKATA Asbestos Awareness, and Scaffold Safety Inspection.
