Having joined Ashe Construction in 2007, Neil worked as a Surveyor delivering framework projects as part of our Strategic Partnerships division. With a focus on long term relationships and maintaining excellent customer satisfaction, whilst meeting pressured deadlines, Neil has taken this approach to his role within Ashe Roofing. Neil is known to foster a spirit of trust and courteous good humor as well as a dedicated work ethic and goal of providing the customer with the highest standard of service. Neil takes immense pride in his work and promotes this mindset throughout his teams. He works with integrity and honesty ensuring a culture of solutions not problems. Neil has been instrumental in forming Ashe Roofing and their continued success to date.

  • Role & Responsibilities

    As Finance Director, Neil oversees all commercial matters and has an active role in negotiating pre-contract arrangements and tenders prior to the formation of Main Contract agreements. For the negotiation and agreement of (all contract forms) of JCT (contract amendments) & NEC (X & Z Clauses) Neil manages the surveying and financial aspects of each roofing project and supports his team at all levels in a mentoring capacity. In overseeing the Finance Department, he provides the board, monthly management accounting reports encompassing the cost/value reconciliation of all contracts plus overheads; and works with the financial controller to monitor the cash resources on a day-to-day basis to manage the cash flow by producing monthly advance indicators of cash requirements. Providing reports on rolling monthly forecasts for turnover and profits.

  • Memorable Achievement

    Personal achievements of mine include having caught a 47lb Catfish and a 46lb Sturgeon. I’m also the current holder of the Ashe Golf Cup and will hopefully be retaining it in the future!
